Kevin Cooke is in his second year as the Head Soccer Coach at Shorter University, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Sport Studies with an emphasis in Business from the University of Georgia. His coaching journey spans various levels, from working with young U6 players to leading high school and collegiate teams.
Before taking the helm at Shorter University, Kevin served as the Head Coach of the boys' soccer team at Harvester Christian Academy for seven years. Under his leadership, the team consistently reached the playoffs, competed in three state championships, and won both a cup competition and a state championship in 2022. His impact on high school soccer was complemented by his experience as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's soccer programs at Shorter University.
Kevin began his tenure as Head Soccer Coach at Shorter University in the summer of 2023, following the retirement of former Head Coach Paul Furey. His diverse coaching background and dedication to developing athletes have quickly made him a key figure in the university’s athletic community.
Kevin Cooke is married and has two daughters. The family lives on their farm, where they enjoy the rural lifestyle. Prior to his time at the University of Georgia, Kevin was a collegiate student-athlete at the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA. His blend of academic, athletic, and coaching experience equips him with the tools to lead Shorter University's soccer program to new heights.
