Stefan Duckett is the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach at Shorter University, a role he stepped into in 2024. Known for his dedication to player development and fostering a winning culture, Coach Duckett leads with a focus on technical skill, team unity, and academic excellence. He is deeply committed to upholding and advancing the Christ-centered values that Shorter University proudly embraces, shaping not only athletes but well-rounded individuals.
In addition to his collegiate role, Duckett also coaches for the Dirty Birds Lacrosse Club, where he works with youth and high school athletes to elevate their individual skills, lacrosse IQ, and competitive edge. His dual involvement in both the collegiate and club scenes gives him a strong presence in player development and recruiting throughout the Southeast.
Prior to joining the staff at Shorter, Duckett built his coaching foundation through youth lacrosse mentorship and player development clinics across Georgia. His experience working with high school and club programs gave him a strong foundation in talent identification and individualized skill-building—skills that now translate directly into his collegiate coaching success.
Coach Duckett earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from Reinhardt University, where he also competed as a student-athlete. He is currently completing his Master’s degree in Business at Shorter University.
Duckett was a standout member of the Reinhardt University Men’s Lacrosse team, where he played as an Attack and Faceoff Specialist from 2022 to 2024. A 2× NAIA National Champion, Duckett contributed to Reinhardt’s dominant run on the national stage through his versatility, hustle, and key role in possession control. He appeared in 14 games during the 2022–23 season, registering 13 points (9 goals, 4 assists). He was also a dominant force at the faceoff X, frequently winning draws and leading his team in ground ball recoveries. His transition play and ability to generate possessions made him a vital contributor during Reinhardt’s championship campaigns.
