Hiers played three years of varsity. She received the coach's award, MVP, best hitter award. She also received English honors for two years.

Devan Leigh Hiers was born on May 30, 1995 in Akron, Ohio. Her parents are Carol and Kenny Hiers. She has one brother, Jason (16) Devan plans to major in business.
