Played at Cass High School under head coach Steve Gates... Was also part of wrestling state dual championship teams during the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons.

Son of Juan and LaToya Delgado... Has two siblings, JaVonni and Jireh... Chose Shorter after the coaching staff saw his potential and gave him an opportunity to use his talents while glorifying God.
