Attended Fannin County High School, where he played under head coach Chad Cheatham... Set the school's all-time tackles record... Earned First Team All-State honors in Class 1A... Was a First Team All-Region selection as a junior and senior after earning All-Region Honorable Mention recognition as a sophomore.
