Ryne Strickland joined the Shorter staff in the spring of 2021 as Wide Receivers/Offensive Recruiting Coordinator.
Strickland comes to Shorter after seven seasons at his alma matter, NCAA FCS-member Jacksonville State where he was the receiver Graduate Assistant and quarterback Student Assistant.
He was a student assistant at JSU in 2014, when the Gamecocks rolled to the Ohio Valley Conference title with a perfect 8-0 mark in league play.
He played a large role in helping JSU claim three OVC titles and just six OVC losses in four seasons, extending the Gamecocks’ streak of conference titles to an OVC-record five from 2014-18.
In June of 2018, Strickland married his high school sweetheart, former Emilee Cabaniss of Greenville, South Carolina. The couple welcomed their first child, Harper, in September of 2021.
