Shorter University Athletics

Ashton Derico enters his second season on the Shorter Football staff, and his first year as Defensive Line Coach.
 
Derico spent his first year on the Shorter Football Staff as a Defensive Graduate Assistant, before being promoted in March of 2019, becoming the Defensive Line Coach.
 
Derico joined the Shorter Football Staff in the Summer of 2018 after finishing playing the 2017 Season for the University of West Alabama.
 
Derico was a four-year letter winner and four-year starter at University of West Alabama, where he played Defensive End and Tackle under Roberto Pinilla. Also won two Gulf South Conference Championships while playing.

Ashton is from Montgomery, Alabama.
