Antreal Allen will begin his first season on the football staff at Shorter University. He will serve as the defensive backs coach for the Hawks.
Allen spent the last two years as a defensive graduate assistant at Georgia State University where he worked with the defensive backs.Â
A native of Auburn, AL, Allen played high school football at Auburn High School. A consensus three-star prospect by 247Sports, Rivals, ESPN and Scout... Earned first-team all-state honors in Class 6-A from the Alabama Sports Writers Association. Collected 48 solo tackles, 52 total tackles and eight interceptions as a senior. Allen holds the school record (22 INTS).
He helped Auburn High School to a 13-2 record and a berth int eh schools first Class 6-A state championship game. Coached by Tim Carter, Allen also played basketball and baseball.Â
During his playing career at Georgia State University, Allen was a four-year Letter winner (2014-2017) in the secondary who started as a senior after three years as a key backup. Playing cornerback his first tow seasons before moving to safety in 2016. Three career interceptions, along with 75 tackles and three pass breakups. Allen was a part of the first ever bowl appearance in 2015, where they played in the AutoNation Cure Bowl. Allen's senior year, he led his team to the first ever bowl win in school history, at the AutoNation Cure Bowl.Â
