Attended Tattnall Square Academy, where he played under head coach John Abernathy... Earned All-Region honors twice and All-State honors once... Was also a two-time All-Star selection.

Son of Terry and Amie Talcott... Has two sisters, Makenna and twin sister Anna... Chose Shorter because of its small class sizes and family-like atmosphere.
