Entering his fourth year as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Shorter University, Jake Harrelson combines a solid educational foundation with extensive coaching experience. Harrelson holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration, bringing a unique perspective to his coaching role.
Jake began his coaching career as a player coach in 2017, leveraging his on-field experience to transition seamlessly into coaching. He served as a Graduate Assistant from 2018 to 2020, and in 2021, he became the Second Assistant Coach. Since 2022, he has excelled as the Head Assistant Recruiting Coordinator, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of Shorter University's baseball program.
During his collegiate years, Harrelson not only excelled on the field but also in the classroom. He was named to the Dean’s List in both 2017 and 2018 and was honored as a GSC Academic All-American in 2017, highlighting his dedication to both athletics and academics.
Jake Harrelson comes from a supportive family, with a younger brother Reed, and parents Robin and Jimmy. His strong family ties and commitment to excellence make him a valued member of the Shorter University community.
As he enters his fourth year in his current role, Harrelson continues to bring passion, knowledge, and a strategic approach to the baseball program, aiming to build on past successes and drive the team towards greater achievements.
