Francisco Suarez enter his fifth season as assistant head baseball coach and recruiting coordinator at Shorter University; where he is in charge of offense and catchers, along with all the recruiting efforts for the Hawks.

He is a 2013 graduate of Coker College where he received a degree in Physical Education and Sports Management. He was two-year member of the Coker College baseball team that made an appearance in the Division II World Series in 2013. Suarez also helped lead his team to a Southeastern Regional Championship and a Conference Carolinas Championship.

He was named to the Conference Carolinas all-tournament team during his senior year and received the Coker College Coach’s Award. In 2012, Suarez was named to the Conference Carolinas Academic team.
Suarez transferred to Coker College from Lawson State Community College where he played baseball for two seasons. He graduated magna cum laude in 2011 with an associate of arts degree in communication and was also on the Dean’s List.

Suarez is a Miami, FL native and graduated from Miami Senior High School where he was second-team All-Dade County in 2008 and ’09.
