ROME- The Shorter Volleyball team will begin the 2026 campaign this weekend as they compete in the Ray Thrasher Classic at Trevecca Nazarene, where they will play three matches across Friday and Saturday. 

NOTES

• The Hawks will face off against Christian Brothers at 10:00 am Friday morning, which will be followed by a 7:00 pm matchup against UAH. Shorter will close out the classic as they take on Trevecca Nazarene at 5:30 pm on Saturday. 
• Shorter returns 15 from last year's squad while welcoming eight new faces who are sure to make an impact. 
• Senior outside hitter Victoria Sparks is looking to have an even better year after her strong 2025 campaign, in which she led the Hawks in kills at 335 total.
