YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.- The Shorter Women's Tennis team fell to Young Harris Wednesday afternoon in a 5-2 decision. The loss drops the Hawks to 8-9 overall and 2-5 in conference.
The Hawks battled in doubles, but could not secure the point despite a close match from all lines.
Sofia Arellano earned a hard-fought 6-4, 7-6 win in the #2 position to get the Hawks on the board.
Lady-Ester Villanueva Rosado earned a point in the #4 line, delivering a thrilling 1-6, 6-2, 10-3 win. Shorter continued to fight, but could not overcome the hosts, falling in a 5-2 final.

The Hawks will return to action as they host Emmanuel next Tuesday for a 1:00 PM match.
