MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Shorter Men's Tennis fell to Georgia College this Friday afternoon in a 6-1 defeat.
The Hawks had a great performance in their doubles. Georgios Tsioumas and Kamron Palacios won their doubles with a 7-6 score, winning 11-9 in the tiebreaker. Carlos Tubio and Kalle Johansson were close but came up short in a 6-4 defeat as well as Guido Loayza and Bailey Liu, who lost 6-3.
Georgios Tsioumas got the Hawks on the board in singles play with a strong performance at the No. 3 position, winning in a third set (6-4, 2-6, 6-3). Kalle Johansson showed his skills and managed to go to a super tiebreak, losing the match by two points (6-4, 5-7, 8-10). Shorter continued to fight throughout the remaining singles matches, but it would not be enough as they fell 6-1.
