ROME- The Shorter Women's Tennis team fell to Francis Marion Friday afternoon in a 7-0 defeat. The loss drops the Hawks to 8-7 overall and 2-3 in conference. 

The Hawks battled hard in doubles, but could not secure the doubles point despite a 6-4 win in the #2 slot from Lady Ester Villanueva-Rosado and Sofia Arellano. 

Shorter continued to fight in singles, as Arellano once again was in for a close match, but was unfortunately bested in a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 defeat. The Hawks could not gather a point as they fell in a 7-0 defeat. 

UP NEXT

The Hawks will be back at home tomorrow as they host Lees-McRae with first serve beginning at 1:00 PM.
