WILSON, N.C.- The Shorter Men's Tennis team fell to Barton Saturday afternoon in a heartbreaking 4-3 loss. The loss drops the Hawks to 1-10 this season and 0-3 in conference action.
Kamron Palacios and
Georgios Tsioumas got the Hawks started with a 6-3 doubles win, but it would not be enough as the Hawks dropped the #1 and #2 matches, failing to secure the point.
Kalle Johansson got Shorter on the board in the #3 spot with a 6-1, 6-3. The Hawks gained wins from Palacios and Tsioumas as Palacios defeated his opponent in the sixth spot 6-1, 4-6, 6-2 before Tsioumas followed with a 0-6, 6-3, 6-3 win in the #4 spot. Unfortunately, the Hawks would fall in the final two matches, being defeated in a 4-3 final.

Shorter will return home and face off against non-conference opponent Gadsden State for a 1:00 PM match.
