ROME- The Shorter Men's tennis team fell to Oglethorpe Monday afternoon in a 5-2 defeat.
The Hawks battled with Oglethorpe in the doubles section, but would come up short.
Bailey Liu and
Kamron Palacios went down to the wire with their opposition, but unfortunately fell in a 7-6 tiebreaker.
Georios Tsioumas got the Hawks on the board with a three-set battle, defeating his opponent 1-6, 6-3, 1-6.
Kalle Johansson would also defeat his opponent in a 6-1, 6-4 win. Shorter continued to battle, but it would not be enough as they fell in a 5-2 defeat.
UP NEXT
Shorter will look to bounce back later this week as they head to Mobile to face off against Spring Hill for a 1:00 PM match on Friday.
