MOBILE, Ala. – The Shorter Women's tennis team fell to Spring Hill College Friday afternoon in a 5-2 defeat.
The Hawks battled with Spring Hill in the doubles section, earning a point from the No. 1 pairing of Sharick Guiza and Laura Martin who secured a win for Shorter. Despite their efforts, the Hawks would drop the remaining two doubles matches to give Spring Hill the early advantage.
Sofia Arellano got the Hawks on the board in singles play with a strong performance at the No. 2 position. Lady-Ester would also add a point for Shorter with a win at the No. 4 spot. Shorter continued to fight throughout the remaining singles matches, but it would not be enough as they fell 5-2.

Shorter will look to bounce back in their next contest as they return home for their upcoming matchup.
