ROME- The Shorter Wrestling team earned their first victory of the 2025-26 season with a 39-12 rout of Lincoln Memorial Wednesday night inside of the Winthrop-King Centre.
Max Meredith got the Hawks on the board with a 21-second pin in the 133-pound class to get the Hawks on the board.
Brayden Gibson followed after in the 141-pound class, earning a tough 5-3 decision victory over his opponent to give Shorter the lead.
Jonathan Fogus kept the Hawks rolling with a dominant 19-4 tech fall victory over his opponent to add on to the Hawk momentum.
Jason Clark earned a 12-3 major decision victory, in the 165-pound class to extend the Hawks lead. Shorter earned three straight forfeit victories that were capped off by a 7-3 decision victory from
Eli Kimball in the 285-pound division.
UP NEXT
The Hawks will return to action as they travel to Bristol, Tennessee next Thursday to take on King University in a conference battle.
