Box Score DUE WEST, S.C.- The Shorter volleyball team fell to Erskine Wednesday night in a 3-0 final.
The first set went down to the wire as both sides battled from the jump. In the final moments, the hosts pulled out ahead to edge out Shorter. After another close start, the hosts went on a run midway through the set that proved to be too much for Shorter. Erskine jumped out in front 8-3 at the beginning of the third set to gain momentum early. Shorter responded well, coming within striking distance of the Fleet. The Hawks evened it at 24, but would give up back-to-back scores from the Fleet to fall in a 3-0 defeat.
Victoria Sparks led Shorter with another triple-double with 13 kills, 14 points, and 11 digs. Victoria McNair and
Brooke Thao added double-digit assists for the Hawks as
Caitlyn Sutton,
Claudia Loyola, and Regan Whitlock each provided nine digs.

Shorter will return to Rome to face Francis Marion this Friday at 6:00 PM.
