Box Score SPARTANBURG, S.C.- The Shorter women's soccer team suffered a 7-0 defeat Saturday afternoon on the road at Converse. 

The Valkyries struck first in the fifth minute to set the tone early. Shorter's defense struggled to contain Converse as they found the net three more times before the half. Converse continued to push the tempo, scoring three more goals in the second half to make it a 7-0 defeat for the Hawks. 

The loss drops Shorter to 1-8-2 and 0-7-2 in conference play

Shorter will look to bounce back as they travel to Franklin Springs, Georgia, to face Emmanuel this Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
