Hawks Fall to Lions in First Conference Game
Rome, GA. – The Shorter Men's Lacrosse team went up against the Lions from Young Harris College at home on Saturday afternoon. In their first conference game of the season, they fell 17-11.

SUMMARY:
The first quarter was a slow start for the Hawks who were outscored 6 to 2. Gunnar Uutinen who was the Hawks leading goal scorer also got the first goal for the Hawks. In the second quarter the defense stepped up limiting the Lions to three goals. The single goal from the quarter came once again came from Gunnar Uutinen. The Hawks went into the half trailing 9-3.
 
The Hawks fell further behind in the third quarter letting 7 goals go past them and only scoring 2. The fourth quarter saw them make a comeback scoring 6 goals and holding them to one. This was not enough though and they lost to the Lions 17-11. 
 
NOTEWORTHY

• #10 Grad Student Gunnar Uutinen was the leading scorer with 4 goals with 4 shots.
• #21 Junior Jaden Sealey scored 3 goals.
• #07 Freshman Ethan Johnson had 8 ground balls.

The Hawks will return to the field on Saturday April 1^st when they take on The University of Alabama Huntsville at Home at 1:00 PM.
