The Hawks began this series with a near comeback but lost in a close match against the Chargers on Saturday at Robert H. Ledbetter Baseball Complex.
In the top of the first inning, the Chargers struck first on a sacrifice fly. Alabama-Huntsville then homered in the top of the third and to go up 2-0. In the bottom of the third inning,
Kobe Jones answered back for the Shorter Hawks with a single to center field scoring

Game 2: Shorter 7, Alabama-Huntsville 6
In the second game of the series the tables turn, and the Hawks came back to win Game 2. The Chargers got hot first, scoring three in the top of the first inning. At the bottom of the first the Gavin mIllians answered back with a 2RBI double scoring

Kobe Jones scored in the bottom of the third on a balk to tie the game up. The Chargers loaded up the bases and scored two runs back-to-back, bringing the score to 5-3. In the bottom of the fourth inning
Logan Stockton homered to right field to keep the Hawks in the game, making the score 5-4. In the bottom of the sixth inning
Norman Leon and
Justin Barnes scored on a sacrifice bunt by
Jakob Woods putting the Hawks in the driver's seat at 6-5.

The Shorter Hawks took the series deciding game from Alabama-Huntsville on Sunday at Robert H. Ledbetter Baseball Complex. This game was quiet until the bottom of the fifth inning when
Kody Krause hit a 3-run homer to right field. In the top of the sixth, the Chargers scored one after another to tie the game.

Jakob Woods hit a sacrifice fly to score
Norman Leon to put the Hawks back on top 5-3. The Chargers scored once more in the seventh inning, but the Hawks ended up taking Game 3 of the series 5-4.
