Hawks Win by 11 on Senior Day
Rome, GA. – The Shorter Men's Lacrosse team took on the Battlers from Alderson Broaddus University for their Senior Night. Seniors Kaleb Roehn, C.J. Johnson, Thomas Iorillo, and Graduate Student Gunnar Uutinen took to the field and were crucial in a 16-5 win.

SUMMARY:
The first quarter started slowly with the first goal coming from Earl Marshall after 5 minutes of back and forth. However, this led to 7 uncontested goals through the first and into the second quarter. Goals came from Grant Sandars, Gunnar Uutinen, Javier Gonzales, Cordell Greenwood, and Jaden Sealey. The Hawks dropped only one goal going into half-time, leading 9-1.
 
The Hawks carried on this momentum into the third quarter with another 3 goals taking them to a 12-1 lead. The 4thquarter was no different for the Hawks with 4 goals and they gave away 4 goals. The final goal came from Cordell Greenwood with an assist from Jaden Sealey. The Hawks honored their seniors proudly with their best victory of the season so far. 
 
NOTEWORTHY
  • #23 Freshman Cordell Greenwood was the leading scorer with 4 goals with 6 shots.
  • #10 Graduate Gunnar Uutinen had 3 goals, 2 ground balls, and 2 caused turnovers.
  • #32 Freshman Michael Dampier had 7 saves and let in 1 goal.

The Hawks will return to the field on Wednesday the 15th when they take on Saint Leo University at Home at 7:00 PM.
