Hawks Lose Battle of the Birds
Rome, GA. – The Shorter Men's Lacrosse team went up against the Hawks from Chowan University at home on Saturday afternoon. After a tough game, the Hawks lost 25-16.

SUMMARY:
The first quarter was a slow start for the Hawks whose sole goal came from Kaleb Roehn. The Hawks kept fighting with 5 goals in the second quarter with goals from Jaden Sealey, Earl Marshall,  Cordell Greenwood, Ethan Kavanaugh, and Grant Sandars. This meant the Hawks went into halftime with a 14-6 deficit. 
 
The Hawks carried on this momentum into the second half matching Chowan's 3 goals in the third quarter. The third quarter also saw a 5-goal run from the hawks with 3 coming from Kaleb Roehn. They kept fighting but with Jaden Sealey's final goal in the fourth quarter it wasn't enough, and the hawks lost 25-16.
 
 
NOTEWORTHY
  • #00 Junior Kaleb Roehn was the leading goal scorer with 5 goals.
  • #21 Junior Jaden Sealey  had 4 goals and 3 assists.
  • #2 Sophomore Earl Marshall lead the team with 8 ground balls and had 2 goals.

The Hawks will return to the field on Wednesday the 1st of March when they take on Emmanuel College away at 4:00 PM.
