Lady Hawks Fall to Patriots
Rome, GA. – The Shorter Women's Lacrosse team went up against the Patriots from the University of Cumberlands at home on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks fell short losing 15-4.

SUMMARY:
The first quarter finished with Cumberlands in the lead 3-1, with the Lady Hawk's opening goal coming from Kaitlyn Peppers with 02:55 left in the first quarter. Another goal came early in the 2^nd quarter from Jadie Arnold, but it was not enough as the Patriots went into halftime with a 5-2 lead.
 
The Hawks came out fighting in the second half, but they were outmatched as the Cumberlands scored six goals in the third compared to Shorter's one. The Hawk's leading scorer Olivia Contento scored the final goal for Shorter in the fourth quarter. The final score was Hawks 4, Patriots 15.
