Rome, GA. – The Shorter Women's Lacrosse team went up against the Senators from Davis & Elkins College at home on Friday afternoon. The Hawks ended up winning 12-7 never losing the lead after the first quarter.

SUMMARY:
The first quarter finished with the Hawks dominating the field with a 5-2 lead with the opening goal coming from Olivia Masters. Leading goal scorer Alexis Mount came out firing in the second quarter scoring 3 of her 5 goals. The lady Hawks went into halftime with a 9-3 lead.

The Senators came out strong in the second half scoring the first three goals, but it was too little too late. In the second half, the Hawks scored 3 goals, with Ariel Grimwade scoring her first goal collegiate goal. The final score was Hawks 12, Senators 7.
