The Shorter Hawks Men's Soccer team fell behind early. Still, it never surrendered in a 3-1 loss to the Mississippi College Choctaw Sunday at Ben Brady Field.

The Choctaw scored twice in the opening half of the match to force the Hawks to trail going into halftime. The Hawks opened up scoring just 2 minutes into the second half with a goal from Vicente Matta and an assist from Charles Garcia. 

Despite the jolt of energy, the Hawks could not find an equalizer, and the Choctaw bagged their third-afternoon goal in the 74th minute to end the contest. 

The Hawks will hit the road to take on the University of Montevallo Falcons on Friday, Sept 23rd at 6 pm.
