ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- The Lady Hawks traveled to St. Augustine for a matchup with the Lady Saints of Flagler College. Flagler jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as they won 18-7.
Flagler started off the game by scoring four unanswered goals, 4-0.
Olivia Contento scored the first goal for the Lady Hawks with 7:23 left in the first quarter, 4-1. The Lady Saints went on to score five more goals to extend their lead to 9-1 at the end of the first quarter. Flagler scored four more goals to start the second quarter, 13-1.
Olivia Masters scored with 1:30 left in the first half, 13-2. The Lady Saints scored another goal to go into halftime with a 14-2 lead. Flagler scored three goals to start the second half, 17-2.
Olivia Contento scored her second goal of the game with 6:09 left in the third quarter, 17-3. Four minutes later
Ansley Barge scored her first goal of the game to make it 17-4. The Lady Saints scored their last goal with 1:39 left in the third, 18-4.
Olivia Masters scored her second goal of the game with 31 seconds left in the third quarter, 18-5. Shorter scored the only two goals in the fourth quarter thanks to
Maria Hansen and
Cat Bloedow, 18-7. The game was called with 11:28 left in the game due to rain.
Olivia Contento and
Olivia Masters led the Lady Hawks with two goals, and each had four and three shots on goal respectively.
Ansley Barge,
Maria Hansen, and
Cat Bloedow each scored one goal.
The Lady Hawks will travel to Huntsville to take on the Lady Chargers of The University of Alabama in Huntsville on Thursday April 7
th at 7 PM.
