MILEDGEVILLE, Ga.—The Lady Hawks travelled to Georgia College for a mid-week double header. Shorter fell in both games with a game one final score of 3-1, followed by game two, 5-3.
With the loss, Shorter falls to 4-14 overall while Georgia College improves to 8-10 overall.
Game 1
The Lady Bobcats were the first to score with two runs in the bottom of the second, 2-0. Then Shorter rallied back in the third with a single from
Hannah Morales, then she stole second. Followed by an RBI single from
Kaylee Combs to score Morales, 2-1. Georgia College tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth, 3-1.
Combs went 2-3 with one RBI.

Carlee Graham and Morales all added in one hit each.
Game 2
The Lady Hawks started out early to score in the top of the second when
Alana Loyd reached on a fielder's choice to score Phillips, 1-0. In the third, Lady Bobcats, Shea Zweifel hit a gram slam to take the lead 4-1. Cecere singled to the pitcher to score
Izzy Kinard, 4-2. Georgia College tacked on one more run in the bottom of the fifth, 5-3. In the sixth, Graham gets hit by a pitch to score Loyd 5-3.
Cecere and Loyd led the Lady Hawks by going 2-4 with one RBI each.
Shorter will return back to Alto Park for a GSC series against West Alabama on Saturday and Sunday. First pitch of the doubleheader on Saturday is slated for 1p.m.
