WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.-- The Shorter Women's Lacrosse team traveled to University of the Cumberlands to kickoff the 2022 season. Unfornately, the Lady Hawks fell to the Partiots 20-3. 

With the loss, Shorter falls to 0-1, while the Cumberlands improve to 1-0 on the season. 

Shorter scored their first goal with 1:51 left in the first quarter by freshman, Olivia Masters. Next goal was by freshman, Olivia Contento in the second quarter. Masters scored another goal in the fourth quarter. 

Alexis Mount recorded a total of six ground balls along with five caused turnovers. 

The Lady Hawks will be back in action at Berry College on February 9th with faceoff slated for 6pm.
