ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks were back at home for a matchup with the Lady Cavaliers of UVA-Wise. The Lady Cavaliers offense proved to be too much as they cruised to a 16-3 victory.
The Lady Cavaliers scored the first eight goals with no answer from the Lady Hawks until the midway through the second quarter.
Alexis Mount scored her ninth goal of the season with seven minutes left in first half to make it an 8-1 game. The Lady Cavaliers scored another goal with 2:30 minutes left in the first half and went into halftime with a 9-1 lead. UVA-Wise then scored the next four goals to extend their lead to 13-1.

th goal of the season with one minute left in the third quarter off of a pass from
Olivia Contento to make it a 13-2 game. The Lady Cavaliers then scored three more goals. The Lady Hawks scored a goal in the final second of the game from
Maria Hansen, who scored her 12
th goal of the season which made the final score 16-3.
Alexis Mount led the Lady Hawks with two goals, three shots on goal and three ground balls.
Maria Hansen scored a goal and recorded three shots during the game. Goalkeeper
Makala McKinney recorded 14 saves.
The Lady Hawks will be back in action at Ben Brady on Wednesday March 2
nd at 4 PM for a conference matchup with Young Harris College.
