PENSACOLA, Fla.—Shorter University Softball travelled to #22 West Florida for a conference series with a double header on Saturday and single game Sunday. On Saturday the Lady Hawks fell in the first game 8-0. The second game didn't favor Shorter with a final score of 10-0.
The Lady Hawks fall to 4-11 overall, 1-4 GSC while the Lady Argos improve to 10-3 overall, 5-0 GSC.
Game 1
Shorter unable to get the bats going recording just two hits. Meanwhile the Lady Argos exploded with the bats with 12 hits and a total of eight runs.
Hannah Morales and
Angela Cecere each recorded a hit. Morales kept up the speed on the base paths to gain a stolen base. West Florida's Teala Howard and Erin Moon went 2-4.
Game 2
The second game didn't bode well for the Lady Hawks with Lady Argo's Montana Young shutting down the bats with seven strikeouts, zero hits and walks. West Florida's Howard led by going 3-3 while Morgan Zettle went 2-2.
