MARS HILL, N.C.- The Shorter men's lacrosse team played their second-straight road game on Saturday at noon at
Mars Hill University. Unfortunately, the Hawks came out on the losing side of things, as the Lions won 22-7.
Several Hawks found the back of the net during the afternoon, as
Earl Marshall and
Gunnar Uutinen scored three times each, and teammate
Ethan Kavanaugh had one as well. Uutinen also had two assists, and
Kaleb Roehn added another assist too.
As for Mars Hill (2-1), Zac Carrigan and Trevor Kennedy led the home team with five goals apiece. Teammate Austin Stroud finished with a game-high six assists to go along with his two goals.
Shorter (0-3) will return home and play their next game on Wednesday at 5 p.m. versus Tennessee Wesleyan.
