ROME, Ga. – The Shorter volleyball team (8-4) defeated Christian Brothers University (2-12) 3-0 on Friday at home to start Gulf South Conference (GSC) play.
The Lady Hawks defeated Christian Brothers 25-13 in the first set, 25-12 in the second set and 25-17 in the third set.
Lacee Glover led the way for the Lady Hawks offensively and had nine kills.
Carrington Terrell had eight kills while
Annie Veldhuis had seven.
Annie Smith had 16 assists for Shorter.
Taryn Cycholl added in 10 digs while Glover added in nine
Madison Sprosty added in eight.
As a team, Shorter had 39 kills, seven aces, seven blocks, 36 assists and 41 digs.
Christian Brothers overall had 18 kills, four aces, 18 assists and 25 digs.
