Lady Hawks Struggled Against Lady Bobcats

ROME, Ga.- The Lady Hawks were at home to play a doubleheader against the Georgia College Lady Bobcats. Sadly, the Lady Hawks were unable to keep up with the Lady Bobcats offense and lost both games nine to three and 15 to four, respectively.

Game 1:  The Lady Bobcats got their offense going in the third inning where they scored three runs. The Lady Hawks came back in the fourth with two runs of their own Carlee Graham singled down the left field line which drove in Kaylee George. Paytn Cripps then singled to center field which allowed Anslee Anderson to score from third. Georgia College then scored two more runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh to extend their lead to nine to two. Shorter tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the seventh but were only able to score one run off of Payton Tuder's double to left center which scored Sydney Poston.

Game 2: The Lady Bobcats were out to an early two to nothing lead after the first inning. The Lady Hawks scored three runs in the second inning to take the lead three to two. Anslee Anderson doubled to left field which scored Kaylee George and Kiera Dudley. Then Sydney Poston reached on a fielder's choice which allowed Anslee Anderson to score. Georgia College came roaring back in the third inning and scored six runs to take the lead eight to three.
