Shorter unable to conquer the Buccaneers

ROME,Ga.—The Lady Hawks finished out their conference series against the Lady Buccaneers with a 12-2 loss.
Shorter falls to 4-22 overall and 0-18 in GSC while Christian Brothers improves to 6-19 and 6-15 in GSC.
 
Pitcher Jackie O'Reilly was able to hold the Buccaneers off from scoring in the first two innings by only allowing one hit. Christian Brothers headed into the top of the third being aggressive at the plate by scoring two runs on four hits.
 
In the bottom of the sixth, Anslee Anderson takes the first pitch of the inning yard to get the Hawks on the board 6-1. Then in the bottom of the seventh, Angela Cecere started off the inning with a triple to right field and then scored on a passed ball. Kylie League hit a single to centerfield but that was it for the  Hawks as they were unable to spark up any more hits at the plate.
League led the team by going 3-4 while Anderson and Cecere each added in one hit for the Hawks.
 
Shorter will host Georgia College for a mid-week doubleheader on Wednesday with first pitch slated for 4p.m.
