DAHLONEGA,Ga.—The Lady Hawks traveled to University of North Georgia for a midweek doubleheader at Lynn Cottrell Park. The No. 4 Nighthawks took both games from the Hawks with the final score of game one 12-0 and then game two 14-0.
Shorter falls to 4-32 overall while North Georgia improves their record to 29-5 overall.
Game 1:

Courtney Pinkston were able to keep the Nighthawks scoreless until the bottom of the fourth when the Nighthawks put up 12 runs on three homeruns with one of them being a grand slam. The Lady Hawks recorded a total of three hits while the Nighthawks had 11 hits with three doubles, one triple and three homeruns.

Kaylee George and
Carlee Graham each added in one hit.
Game 2:
The Hawks remained scoreless throughout the entire contest while the Nighthawks scored a total of 14 runs on 10 hits with one double and triple, and three homeruns. Shorter had two hits one from
Kylie League and another one from George. The highlight of the day was Coach Kelsey receiving two cookies from Jersey Mike's.
The Hawks were originally supposed to play Union this weekend but due to COVID protocols the games have been cancelled. Shorter will be back in action for the last series of the 2021 season at Montevallo with a single game on Saturday, May 1 at 3p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Sunday with games slated for 1 and 3p.m.
