ROME,Ga— The Shorter softball team came out flat in all three games against Auburn Montgomery. The Warhawks came with the bats ready to go by scoring at least 12 runs per game. The final scores for the weekend were game one 13-0, game two 13-2 and game three 12-0.
Shorter falls to 4-19 and 0-15 GSC while Auburn Montgomery improves to 19-4 overall and 11-4 GSC.
Game 1
The Hawks recorded one hit from
Anslee Anderson who broke the no hitter in the bottom of the fifth.
Game 2
Anderson hit a two run homerun in the bottom of the fourth to score
Kylie League. League and
Carlee Graham each had one hit.
Game 3
The Warhawks came out with an offensive explosion with a total of five homeruns. Meanwhile the Hawks only had one hit from Anderson in the bottom of the fifth to break the no hitter for the second time in the series.
The Hawks will return home on Friday and Saturday for a conference series against Christian Brothers with a doubleheader on Friday at 1 and 3p.m.
