LIVINGSTON, Ala.- The Lady Hawks played in the first round of the GSC Spring Championship Series against the Lady Tigers of West Alabama. In a low scoring contest, the Lady Hawks lost one to nothing in double overtime.
The Lady Hawks struggled on offense throughout the game.
Erin Carter led to team in shots and shots on goal with one. Goalkeeper
Emily Lopez stood tall in goal and recorded 16 saves against the Lady Tigers.
The Lady Tigers were led by Anele Komani with 10 shots and five on goal. Paige Laidler scored the game winning goal in double overtime off a penalty kick. Paige also recorded four shots on goal for the Lady Tigers.
Goalkeeper
Emily Lopez recorded 54 saves this season. Five Lady Hawks played every minute in all five games this season (
Jordan Cannon,
Erin Carter,
Kayla Hartmann,
Emily Lopez, and
Kelly Vernon).
Erin Carter led the team in shots and shots on goal with seven and five, respectively.
Juliana Torres led the team in goals this season with two.
