Rome, Ga.- The Lady Hawks played the Lady Wolves of West Georgia Saturday afternoon in their final home game of the shortened season. However, Shorter could not come out on top and lost to West Georgia three to one.
The Lady Hawks started out strong and built off the momentum from the night before when they beat Valdosta State. Shorter recorded a season-high 18 kills in the first set against West Georgia. However, after the first set the Lady Hawks dropped the next three sets to the Lady Wolves.
Lacee Glover led the team with 14 kills followed by
Casey Raschen who had 10 and
Iva Luther who had nine. Libero
Madison Sprosty recorded two service aces and
Iva Luther and
Lacee Glover both recorded one.
Annie Smith led the team with 36 assists while
Jade Smith led the team in blocks with five.
Madison Sprosty led the team with 19 digs followed by
Taryn Cycholl who had 13 and
Annie Smith who had 12.
The Lady Hawks will be on the road next Saturday March 20
th in Montgomery, Alabama to play Montevallo at 11 am and Auburn-Montgomery at 1 pm.
