Lady Hawks unable to fly past the Falcons

Montevallo, Ala.—The Lady Hawks traveled to University of Montevallo for their last set of games for the 20-21 season but came up short on Friday night with a 82-70 loss over the Falcons.
 
The Hawks will snap their winning streak and fall to 5-14 overall while the Falcons will improve to 11-5 overall.
 
Montevallo scored the first points of the game from a layup by Jordan Jones then Jasmine Gaines came back with a three-pointer to take the lead. The Falcons shot right back and went on a scoring rally and scored eight points in two minutes, 11-3. Once Montevallo took the lead they never looked back and held the lead for the remainder of the game.
Gaines recorded a game high 22 points with three steals, and eight rebounds. The Hawks had two others that scored double digits which included Chatham Brown with 21 points and Kelly Pickett with 11 points. Top scorers for the Falcons was Marisa Snodgrass with 19 points.
 
The Hawks will be back against Montevallo on Saturday at 3p.m. for their last game of the season.
