CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Lady Hawks (16-13) fell to the Lee University Lady Flames (7-18) 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Lee.
The Lady Flames defeated Shorter 25-22 in the first set, but the Lady Hawks defeated Lee 25-22 in the second set and 25-18 in the third set. However, Lee bounced back and won the fourth set 25-23 and the fifth set 15-13.
Lacee Glover had 16 kills for Shorter while
Emily Crocker had 15 and
Annie Veldhuis had 14.
Annie Smith had 41 assists, and
Madison Sprosty added in 27 digs.
As a team, the Lady Hawks had 60 kills, 10 aces, 11 blocks, 60 assists and 75 digs.
Lee overall had 64 kills, seven aces, 11 blocks, 58 assists and 69 digs.

Shorter returns to action on Friday, November 12 on the road at Union University. The match is slated to start at 8 p.m. The Lady Hawks will then face Christian Brothers University on Saturday, November 13 at 3 p.m. to conclude the regular season.
