Jefferson City, TN- The Shorter University Hawks (14-5, 3-5) took a trip north up I-75 on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Carson-Newman Eagles (15-9,5-4) out of the SAC conference. Â
Shorter struck first in the top of the second inning when

Matt Christian to come around and score as well making the score 2-0 Hawks.
Â
The Hawks would add another run in the top of the sixth when
Cory Mason hit a ball back to the Eagles pitcher, which he mishandled, and which also allowed
Kaleeq Brannigan to score for the Hawks increasing the lead to 3-0.
