Rough Day for the Lady Hawks

Huntsville, Ala – The Shorter Women's Basketball (1-22, 1-17) team was on the road tonight for a conference match up against the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers (17-8, 12-5). The Hawks had a slow start and end to the game but came ready to play in the second and third quarters.

Jasmine Gaines led the team in points scored adding 18 to the board. Gaines also added by getting 8 rebounds, and one assist. Right there behind her Tatum Ragsdale put 17 points on the board for the Hawks with 8 rebounds as well, and 1 assist. The Hawks had an overall field goal percentage of 25%, three-point percentage of 33.3% and 68.4% for free throws.

The Hawks were able to gain 3 points off turnovers, 16 in the paint and 4 second chance points. You will have a chance to see your Lady Hawks in action back at home on Saturday February 22nd in the Winthrop King Centre against the University of West Georgia at 2pm.
