Huntsville, Ala – The Shorter Men's Basketball team was on the road tonight for a conference match up against the University of Alabama in Huntsville Chargers. The Hawks were able to keep right on pace with a tough Charger defense, scoring 33 points to their 39 points. With a field goal percentage of 37.5, with their three point and free throw percentages being higher than the Chargers at 27.8% and 100% respectively. Going into the second half the Hawks offense tried to make a push for the lead but falling short scoring 29 points to the Chargers 44. Leaving the game at 62-83 in favor of the Chargers.
Jay Shropshire scored the most points for the Hawks putting up 23, with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block and a steal. Coming in right behind him was
Keeving Etienne with 11 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
The Hawks will be back at home on Saturday February 22
