Rome, GA- The Lady Hawks (0-10, 0-5 Gulf South) were back home for their first home game of the 2020 year to take on the University of Alabama in Huntsville (6-6, 2-3 Gulf South).
The Lady Hawks were outscored in the first quarter 18-13 but they came flying back in the second quarter 27-22 and went into halftime with a tied score. Sadly, the second half was not as productive as the second quarter.
Jasmine Gaines led the team in scoring with 22 points and
Tatum Ragsdale followed with 16 points. Gaines also led the team with 10 rebounds followed by Ragsdale who had 7. The Lady Hawks took advantage of the 17 turnovers that the Chargers committed by scoring 17 points. The Lady Hawks also scored 20 points off of the fast break and 19 points came from their bench. The Lady Hawks also had a higher 3pt percentage with 40% while the Chargers only had 33.3%.
