Rome, Ga – Shorter Women's Soccer kicked off the conference opener at Lee on Saturday night. Lee came out scoring their first goal 3 minutes into the first period, this led to a scoring streak for Lee. Sydney Durham played the first period of the game having 9 saves on 14 shots on goal. Emily Lopez was able to get some playing time in goal Saturday night as well, having 5 saves on 5 shots on goal from Lee.
 
Tyler Hitt brought the first shot on goal by Shorter on Saturday night in the first period. This was followed by a shot from Rylind Robinson to start the second period off. Kristina Evans had two more shots on goal to end the night for the Hawks.
 
The Hawks are at home October 4^th at 5:00 as they take on another conference opponent Delta State.
