Box Score 2 Rome, Ga- The Lady Hawks were at home all weekend first playing the University of West Florida, Friday night, and then Spring Hill College, Sunday afternoon.Â
Friday night was a tough conference match up between the Shorter Hawks and the UWF Argonauts. The Argonauts started out strong scoring two goals within the first 30 minutes of the game. However, sophomore goalkeeper
Emily Lopez was able to squash their attempts 12 more times, playing all 90 minutes of the game.
Izabel Salgado had one shot on goal for the game.Â
Sunday Shorter matched up against Spring Hill College, coming out on top 1-0. Sophomore midfielder
Erin Carter led the Hawks in shots on goal and scored a goal against Spring Hills, with an assist by Sophomore defender
Kristina Evans. Graduate student Bianca Martins da Silva also had two shots, landing one on goal, along with
Izabel Salgado, and
Kristina Evans took shots of their own throughout the game.Â
Shorter is on the road for their next four games starting with Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tn, with kickoff starting at 6:00pm.Â
