Franklin Springs, Ga. -- The Hawks fell to Emmanuel Friday afternoon, 7-2, on the road.

With the loss, Shorter moves to 0-2 on the season; while the Lions open the year at 1-0.

For the afternoon, the Hawks wins came at number two doubles and number four singles as Malik Yawar and Gregoire Vincent earned an 8-2 win, before Vincent tallied his first singles win of the year with a 6-2, 7-5 victory.

The team will be back in action Friday, February 16, against Morehouse.
